To use ray tracing in HDRP, there are hardware requirements you must meet.
In that case you need to install it manually to run HDRP. On Linux, Vulkan may not be installed by default. HDRP does not support OpenGL or OpenGL ES devices. For those that may want to download Xcode for MacOS X 10.4 (Tiger), you may opt for a 'side-channel' solution of downloading the disk image from other sites (e.g., like via torrent sites), since it is quite likely that Apple breaks any of the URLs given above at any point in time and/or puts it so buried down their site that it is virtually 'unfindable'. The following table shows the compatibility of the High Definition Render Pipeline (HDRP) versions with different Unity Editor versions.
Can't believe this OS is still mainstream after 10 years. I hate Unity, which has been default since 10.10. A lot of great new features, and Time Machine is a lifesaver. This page contains information on system requirements and compatibility of the High Definition Render Pipeline (HDRP) package. This thing is impeccable and still is the best Mac OS X I've ever used (Lion just sucks.) 2.
